Business & Economics

A-Level Economics

GCE A/AS Level or Equivalent Level 3

Overview

Economics is an A Level subject that is both a rigorous academic discipline and a living issue at the heart of everyday life. It is primarily about the how we deal with the fact that in this world there are unlimited wants, people always desire more, but limited resources. We look at how we might answer the questions of what an economy produces, how it produces and for whom it produces.

There are two sides to Economics: Micro and Macro. Microeconomics concentrates on individual consumers, businesses or markets and has such has considerable overlap with Business Studies. We look at how individuals and firms make economics decisions and their motivations in so doing and how each of these economic agents decisions interact.
