Here at KEVIGS, we are committed to providing all of our students with high quality and impartial careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) that will inspire them to embark on a journey of their own choosing. As the options available for young people are becoming more varied, it is vital we support our students to develop the skills and knowledge needed to make informed choices about their future and this is done through impartial Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)

The intent of the careers curriculum here at KEVIGS is to provide a stable careers programme that provides all students with the skills to transition not only through education or training, but for the world of work and beyond.

Here are KEVIGS, through our careers programme (known as Future U), take into consideration the Gatsby Benchmarks and the Careers Development Institute (CDI) Framework, we aim to:

​

  • Help students develop an understanding of themselves, their skills and capabilities as well as help them overcome any barriers they may encounter

  • Supporting them through post 16 and post 18 transitions 

  • Promote equality, opportunity, challenge stereotyping and support inclusion

  • Provide students with at least one employer encounter, either virtually or on site, each school year

  • Enable students to explore, investigate and develop knowledge and understanding of the educational, training and employment opportunities available to them, locally, nationally and internally
