GCE A/AS Level or Equivalent Level 3

Overview

In History, you will study both Russian and British history, looking at the significance of historical events, the role of individuals in history and the nature of change over time. In particular you will look at Tsarist and Communist Russia between 1885-1964 and The making of Modern Britain from 1951-2007. You will also gain a deeper understanding of the past through political, social, economic and cultural perspectives. You'll also have the opportunity to take part in a range of trips to Berlin or Auschwitz.

Entry Requirements

  • Four GCSEs at grade 6 or above
  • A grade 6 or higher in GCSE History
  • A grade 5 or higher in GCSE English
  • A grade 5 or higher in GCSE Mathematics

Assessment

Russia Exam 40%, Modern Britain Exam 40%, Tudor Rebellions or American West Coursework 20%
