Physical Education
Confidence, Teamwork, and Lifelong Fitness
Sport has the power to bring people together and bring out the very best in individuals. At KEVIGS, Physical Education plays a vital role in developing confident, motivated, and resilient young people. Whether competing, training, or supporting others, students experience the joy and challenge of physical activity.
By offering a wide range of sporting opportunities, we help students develop physical skills, teamwork, leadership, and a lifelong love of sport and activity that extends well beyond their time at school.
Curriculum
Key Stage 3
Students receive three hours of PE per week, ensuring regular participation and progression across a wide range of activities. The curriculum provides stretch and challenge for all abilities while promoting teamwork, resilience, and confidence.
Key Stage 4
Students with a strong interest or talent in PE can continue their studies through GCSE and A Level Sport Studies (AQA). These courses combine practical performance with theoretical knowledge, providing pathways into sport-related careers and further study.

PE at KEVIGS offers a broad extracurricular programme that encourages participation and excellence:
-
Lunchtime and after-school clubs across a variety of sports
-
Regular fixtures at local, county, regional, and national levels
-
Leadership opportunities with school teams and local primary schools
These experiences help students stay active, challenge themselves, and represent the school with pride.
