Our School

Governance & Finance

The Headteacher and the Governing Body share responsibility for the overall strategic leadership and direction of the school. The Governing Body meets six times a year to review both academic and pastoral standards, working closely with members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to evaluate key areas of the school’s annual action plan.

Together, the Headteacher and Governors undertake a three-year strategic development planning cycle, consulting widely with the whole school community—including parents, pupils, staff, and other members of our wider community.

Annual Review and Monitoring

Each year, the Governing Body and Leadership Team produce an Annual Review that evaluates progress towards objectives, celebrates successes, and identifies challenges for the future. They also monitor pupil and parental satisfaction through surveys, questionnaires, and consultations to ensure all voices are heard.

Academic Oversight and Continuous Improvement

Through the Directors Group, the academic life of the school is regularly discussed and reviewed by the SLT and Faculty Directors. Learning reviews focus on sharing best practice and working collaboratively to identify areas for improvement. Staff are also encouraged to participate in Action Research Groups, which currently focus on the curriculum, eLearning, and reporting and assessment.

The Headteacher and Governing Body are committed to taking KEVIGS beyond Outstanding, striving for the highest standards of achievement and excellence, and feedback from parents and the wider community is always welcomed and valued.
