On 25 November 54 students competed in the Coastal & Wolds Superzone Championships and the students did us proud.
Our junior boys team made history with our first 6 runners finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th. This is something that has never been achieved at a District/Superzone championship. William Phillips built on his 2nd place 2 weeks ago in Leeds, at the Regional Finals of English Schools Cross Country Cup where he finished 2nd in a very strong field of predominately Y10 runners, with a comfortable win. He was followed over the line by Isaac Shepherd, who for the first time this season beat Will Sutton. In 3rd place was Will Sutton, followed by Harry Parkinson, Lucas Shufflebotham, and Callum Padbury in 6th to complete the team places.
Ava Rhodes finished 3rd in the junior girls and Tilly Carrotte had a fantastic run with a comfortable win in the inter girls race.
Team KEVIGS won 4 out of the 6 team awards:
Y7 Girls – 2nd
Y7 Boys – 1st
Junior Girls (Y8&9) – 1st
Junior Boys – 1st -team photo below
Inter Girls (Y10& 11) – 1st - team photo below
Inter Boys – 3rd
Thirty-Three of our students have qualified to compete for the Superzone in the Lincolnshire Schools Cross Country Championships on Saturday 14 January in Stamford.
