Quick Contacts
Head of Year
For many minor queries we hope the website contains everything you need. For more detailed information on administrative details, dates, uniform, timings of the school day, or anything that is not contained on the website and is not urgent then please e mail reception.
Academic Matters
As a basic principle first contact should always be with the person nearest to the area of concern you have. If you need to discuss an academic matter relating to a subject then contact should be with the classroom teacher. If you are not happy with the outcome, or need more information, then you should contact the relevant Head of Department or Head of Faculty who will be able to assist you further.
Pastoral Matters
For many minor issues relating to uniform, homework timetables, planners, year group trips, general information, sick notes etc..etc. the relevant Personal Assistant to each section of the school should be your first point of contact. They should also be the fastest.
For issues of concern about a pastoral matter relating to your son/daughter then first contact should be with your child's form tutor.
For more serious or persistent matters you should contact the relevant Head of Year using the links at the side.
Senior Team Contacts
If you remain unhappy with the outcome of the above or feel that a matter is of major significance then you should contact one of the following members of the Leadership Team.
Deputy Head in charge of pupil welfare, support, mentoring, rewards & sanctions.
Deputy Head Academic responsible for the academic life of the school.
Deputy Head Teaching & Learning - responsible for the quality of T & L, assessment and reporting, staff welfare & INSET programme.
Should any parent have not received a satisfactory response from the above process
then at this point they should write an official letter of complaint addressed to
the Headmaster and copied to the Chair of Governors (c/o King Edward’s).
All such correspondence will be acknowledged in writing and a formal investigation, led by the Headmaster, will be undertaken. Parents will be informed of the outcome in writing.
