Autumn Term (Michaelmas)

Wednesday 31st August Staff Training Day
Thursday 1st September Staff Training Day
Friday 2nd September Year 7, 12 & 13 Induction - Please note this is a full day
  for year 7's and half day for Year 12 & 13

Monday 5th September Whole School returns for all pupils with St James’
  Church Service

     Half Term Monday 24th - Friday 28th October

December 16th School Finishes at 12.30pm from St James' Church
 
  *Please note parents will need to collect their children.

Spring Term (Hilary)

Tuesday 3rd January School begins for all pupils

    *Please note this may be an inset day for other schools

    Half Term Monday 13th Feb - Friday 17th Feb

Monday 20th Feb School returns for all pupils
  *Please note this may be an inset day for other schools

Friday 30th March Easter Service in St James’ Church
  School Finishes at 3.45pm

Summer Term (Trinity)

Monday 16th April School begins for all pupils

    Half Term Monday 4th June - Friday 8th June

Friday 13th July School Finishes at 12.30pm following Speech Day in St James' Church - No Buses

Transport Arrangements
Friday 2nd September is induction time for Yr7's all day and Yr's 12 & 13 for half a day.
  Parents will need to make arrangements when school finishes at 12.30
 
 
 

N.B. County Dates for future years can be found by clicking the link above. At King Edward's we run slightly different dates to other schools because we have a twilight Professional Development Policy for our staff where we hold training sessions on a half termly basis after school. The impact of this means that we will only ever have two full Inset Days in September. All other days are teaching days.
